Imagine, only 20 minutes from Cape Town’s CBD, and 20 minutes from the Airport, there is a place where the only sounds are of doves cooing, cows mooing, guinea fowl, geese … and you look out on the mountains of the peninsula. A tranquil and peaceful place, on a farm, filled with history, a place for people, on a human scale. Space to wander around, to absorb nature, to be cared for ... The Long House, built in 1790 as a Dutch East India Company outpost, is the ideal place for your meeting, seminar, workshop, course or product launch. It’s not for large groups - up to 40 participants would be comfortable here. The service is individual - we provide Tender Loving Care for all our guests. Conference VenuesWe offer two spaces for your group’s meeting, workshop or course. Each space consists of a large group room as well as a breakaway / lunch room. We have an outdoor lapa and a large lawn for relaxing or outdoor exercises. Both group rooms (Steenberg and Constantiaberg) are equipped with a fully integrated Data Projector with DVD/CD player and offer flexible layouts. And has numerous white boards and flip charts. For those of you who have fond memories of OHP’s and VCR’s we can also accommodate you! If you need extra stationery, photo-copies or faxes we will gladly help out. We also have wireless internet to which you can connect. EquipmentWe have all the technology you need: data projectors, DVD players, wireless internet, faxing and copying facilities. Air conditioning, flip charts, white boards - and we can arrange whatever you need. To be in keeping with our history, we can also arrange the OHP, for those whom prefer older technology! CateringWe take pride in our catered offerings. Whichever option you choose, we will cater an alternative according to your dietary requirements. Tea and coffee are always available, along with fresh fruit at no extra cost. Breaks are characterised by home baking to a highly professional standard - scones, muffins, biscuits and other delicacies. If the training does not leave you fulfilled, our catering will! AccommodationWe will be happy to assist you in arranging accommodation for your ‘out of town’ guests, as we are surrounded by fantastic accommodation. The Long House is the place for you!
