The Gecko offers three star graded self catering accommodation, in a quiet residential area just off the N2 in the beautiful town of Caledon, only 120 km from Cape Town. Two bedrooms, both with en-suite bathrooms, will invite you for a well deserved rest. Both bedrooms are luxuriously furnished with their own theme and the overhead fans, heaters, and electric blankets will keep you comfy no matter the season. Each bedroom has a double bed with crisp linen and a welcome treat, and the showers are equipped with fresh towels, soap, even shower caps! There is also an electronic safe to protect your valuables. Kids are welcome and a camping cot is also available for the newborns. In the open plan living room, you will find comfortable furniture, a TV with DSTV, dining room table, fully equipped kitchen with microwave, mini oven, fridge / freezer, and a full set of cutlery and utensils. Nothing is spared and you will even be supplied with an assortment of rusks and cookies, individually sealed coffee, tea and accessories to soothe those early morning hunger pains. FacilitiesWhen you are looking for outside entertainment, the outside barbeque facilities which includes wood, a kettle braai, barbeque utensils, a wooden table and a large wooden umbrella, is available for your use. We offer you secure off street parking with electronic entry, so you will be able to enjoy your stay without any worries. The outside fountain will keep you relaxed while you plan your travels ahead. Nearby ActivitiesClose to us, you will find the Caledon Golf Course, the world famous Arabella Golf Course (30 min), the Hemel and Aarde Wine Route, Hermanus Blue Flag Beach (45 min), the historic town Greyton (20 min) and spectacular mountain and crop views unique to the Overberg Region. If you are a rock and surf angler, the nearby waters of Arniston, Struisbaai, Agulhas and Gansbaai are calling. Here you can expect very good catches throughout the year, and for the adventurous there is Shark Cage Diving at Gansbaai. For the fresh water fisherman there is a selection of establishments nearby for carp, yellowfish, bass, and trout fishing, and for the 4x4 enthusiast, are list of nearby tracks from Caledon to Villiersdorp is available.
