About Llandudno Beach House
The privately owned, luxurious and self catering The Beach House has, for over 30 years looked down the length of the Llandudno beach and onto Robben Island in the distance. The terrace allows for incredible views of the Atlantic Ocean; you might even see whales, dolphins or seals in the bay below.
Self Catering Accommodation
The Beach House provides luxurious accommodation, and a wonderful garden complete with heated pool and swim jet. The clapboard house has been designed to cater for your every need: a relaxed atmosphere with oak floors throughout; clean styling for the interiors; large sliding doors that slip away to bring the sun and sea into the house and the finest beds and linen. Wi-Fi is available throughout the house.
The open plan ground floor has two seating areas and a state of the art TV / DVD system. The large dining table seats ten or you could also choose to sit around the central island in the kitchen. There is also a large sun room with fully retractable glass doors, complete with indoor BBQ, table and seating area.
On the first floor are four large en suite bedrooms: three face the sea and beach and one the mountain. Glass sliding doors open to large balconies or, in one case, a terrace with a roof garden. We have four double beds of which two can be converted to twins.
Our large terrace is perfect for alfresco breakfast and there is also a lawn with sun loungers where you can watch the birds as they queue up to get to the sugar feeder. If the sun becomes too much, retreat to the shade and enjoy the peace and quiet. The plants and trees in the garden have largely been chosen to reflect the flora of the area but there are also plants to bring colour to the garden throughout the year.
Additional Facilities
The pool is perched right at the front of the garden overlooking the beach and set into a wooden deck. Cape Town pools can be freezing so we have installed solar heating and an automatic solar cover which is a useful safety feature if you have children. There is also a swim jet which can be set at various speeds; you can swim and go absolutely nowhere but you can then justify a glass of wine or two!
Access to the beach is a five minute walk down the hill or you can drive to the small car park. Visitors to the house are also welcome to use the Llandudno tennis court for a small extra charge but please bring your own racquets.

Needing a reboot and to get right away from everything I booked myself into The Beach House for a few days and what a treat it was. It did not dissappoint. The house is in immaculate condition and as clean as a pin.It faces north so is filled with winter sunshine and I could certainly see why this time of the year is known as "The secret season". The views were spectacular looking down over the ocean, beach and mountains and it was a five minute walk down to the most beautiful beach. Very friendly and hands on manager Annie was there to welcome me and give advice and info on the area which was hugely helpful. Certainly not long enough but I will certainly be back. Cannot recommend the house highly enough. Thanks Annie and her team.

We stayed here for a week in early April 2015. The view from the house was amazing and although you are in a very exclusive area of Cape Town, the orientation of the house ensures privacy and made you feel as though the view was all your own to enjoy. The interior of the house is finished to an exceptionally high standard with the outstanding feature being the Sun Room and the main living area which can be opened up fully onto the outside decking so that you have a massive open air space to take in the sun and scenery. Annie and Julia were great and ensured that our break was kept stress free and the house maintained in tip top condition. It then became an easy option to spend the day challenging yourself swimming against the jet flow in the pool or simply see how many dolphins you could see leaping in the bay (apparently the whales are more common September to November) whilst indulging in something long, cold and refreshing from the comfort of the loungers. For entertainment and activities, it’s just a short walk down to the beach and Hout Bay and Camps Bay are in easy striking distance for restaurants and people watching. Cape Town itself is a short drive if you feel the need to tick the touristy things off your to-do list. The house and surrounding area was a great experience, treat yourself you won’t be disappointed, but please not on the dates I next want to visit !
