The Highest Mountain Reserve in South Africa ... Dreams of a secret jewel high up in the mountains ... become real at Tenahead! In a remote region of South Africa where three mountain ranges meet - the Drakensberg, the Witteberg and the Maluti - lies a very special place. The hand of man has brushed it but lightly, beautiful San rock art being the only sign of its former inhabitants. Tenahead is 3500 hectares of unspoiled mountains, valleys and streams. It holds a treasury of flora and fauna and it is the perfect place to experience another life. A Nature-lover’s Eden, Tenahead is home to many antelope and smaller animals including lynx, jackals, rock rabbits, amphibians, reptiles and over 300 species of birds. The hills and valleys are a comucopia of wild flowers and at night, the skies are spangled with millions of stars. Tenahead winters are crisp with snow blanketing the ground; the summers are fresh with possible thunderstorms. Tenahead will reawaken a spirit inside you long made dormant by modern living.
