About Sunnyside Park Hotel
The elegant full service Four Star, Sunnyside Park Hotel, with surrounding landscaped gardens, situated in Historical Parktown, a leafy suburb in Johannesburg, was once the stately home of the British High Commissioner, Lord Milner, in 1895. The sedate colonial atmosphere still lingers in the hotel. The hotel offers the peace and quiet of the countryside with the convenience of the Central Business Districts of Johannesburg and Sandton not too far away plus easy access to major highways.
From the moment of arrival, one feels a very special ambience. The high ceilings, airy reception rooms, and magnificent polished wooden staircase, creates an atmosphere more akin to a splendid home rather than a hotel, which does not fail to impress.
There is a range of bedrooms from standard rooms in the Monument Wing of the Hotel, to a Deluxe spacious twin bedded room in the new Gatehouse Wing, to Poolside and Garden Suites. This gives a total of 154 bedrooms. The facilities in the bedrooms include, tea/coffee making facilities, hairdryers, room safes, air-conditioning / heating, remote controlled TVs with selected DSTV channels in addition to SABC, plus mini bars can be arranged on request.
For in-house dining, on offer is Milnerís Restaurant where guests can partake from the array of delectable dishes on the buffet or order off the extensive A La Carte Menu. If something lighter is preferred, the Pound and Penny Pub offers a Hotel Pub menu for Lunch and Dinner.

For a successful conference or banquet, the Sunnyside Park Hotel is unsurpassed. There are eleven function rooms, which cater for a wide range of occasions housing 10-300 delegates for conferences etc. A unique feature is that the majority of the conference rooms have natural light and some of them lead onto the gardens which is ideal for tea breaks. Standard Conference Equipment is on offer, but the Hotel will arrange for any other equipment request, decor etc, to be hired in. An added feature of the hotel is the complimentary 24-hour parking for over 220 cars.
