Sundown Manor is a four star guesthouse and is located, a few minutes walk from the Sea Point promenade and Olympic size swimming pools. The V&A Waterfront, famous Clifton and Camps Bay beaches are only a few minutes drive away and the Lion's Head mountain towers in the background. The homes that line the gracious, spacious avenues of the upmarket suburb of Fresnaye, on Cape Town 's Atlantic Seaboard, embody peace and comfort, and Sundown Manor is no exception. So secluded is it that guests live in their own private world, out of sight of the sea, but never quite out of hearing distance. Guests to the Manor are all struck by a feeling of spaciousness and high ceilings, some of them pressed steel, reinforce this impression. Beautiful Chinese beechwood floors in the public rooms add richness and eye appeal, and the unusual furniture in bedrooms and public rooms strike an exotic note. ACCOMMODATION:All rooms are very tastefully and simply decorated with TV's (Mnet, SABC and Super Sport), fans, tea and coffee facilities and safes. There are both double (king-size) and single beds available. Triple rooms can be arranged upon request. The 8 double bedrooms are all en-suite: 3 bathrooms have double-ended baths for bathing à deux , and all have showers. The headboards are also made from railway sleepers, and the bedside tables repeat the wood-and-glass motif of the public rooms. Anglepoise reading lamps and whiter-than-white percale cotton linen completes the look of freshness and comfort. FACILITIES:The lounge and dining room area's are also large and spacious and we have a lovely open patio area which is well protected and an ideal spot for breakfast, sunbathing and evening sundowners or evening cigar. The patio overlooks a large and inviting swimming pool located in a protected and private setting, ideal for those sunny relaxing summer days! Two of the lower rooms open out onto the pool and have their own private access. SERVICES:We offer internet (ADSL broadband and Wi–Fi), fax and e-mail facilities from the office and can organise airport transfers and car hire. We also offer laundry services as well as off street parking. Gary, the Owner and Host of Sundown Manor, along with the staff, bring about a very friendly and relaxed atmosphere and is also on hand to advise and assist in all aspects.
