Stonebreaker is a Tourism Grading Council of South Africa four star accredited country lodge, and a proud member of Western Cape Tourism and the Oudtshoorn Tourism Bureau. Listen to the peaceful murmur of the river while you relax in the sparkling swimming pool with unspoilt views on the surrounding mountains and some grazing game. Twelve elegantly furnished and spacious en suite rooms, with an African ambience, make you really feel at home. Privacy is ensured, because units are at least 15 metres away from the main complex, and has covered porches with uninterrupted views. Rooms are equipped with TV’s, tea/coffee facilities, including biscuits or rusks, hair driers, clock radios, own bathrooms, roof fans and air-conditioners. We are famous for our personal attention and unique Klein Karoo heart-warming hospitality, with picturesque mountain and landscape views. DiningA half an hour walk on our own succulent trail will work up your appetite for a hearty traditional farm-style breakfast in the African dining room or on the open-air deck. The views are magnificent, with star-studded skies at night. Lunch and dinner are available on request, including traditional barbeques on the thatched covered stoep, or three-course meals at the cosy Old Mill restaurant across the nearby river. The meals consist of five types of meat, including ostrich fillet, or a home cooked dinner with leg of Karoo lamb, bobotie, kudu steak, ostrich neck and other ostrich dishes. Adventurous activities, like horse riding, quad biking, mountain biking, kayaking, rock climbing & abseiling can easily be arranged, depending on your needs.
