The Station Master's Cabin at Cullinan Junction offers affordable self catering (and wheelchair friendly) accommodation in the historic Victorian and Edwardian village of Cullinan in a unique setting. Situated on the premises of the Cullinan Railway Station (recently renamed Cullinan Junction), the guest house overlooks the famous Cullinan Diamond Mine and Big Hole.
The guest house is within walking distance from shops, banks, post office, restaurants, pubs, and tourist facilities, and you will be amazed at the variety of things to do and places to see in and around Cullinan. The special ambiance makes our village the ideal place to host your wedding or other special event.
The Station Master's Cabin is currently equipped to sleep eight persons in three en suite bedrooms, and opened for guests on 27 August 2010, with participants in the MTN Cullinan Ultra Marathon Mountain Bike Race staying over. You can either book the whole unit or any of the rooms in the unit if you do not mind sharing the communal kitchen, lounge and braai facilities. We are also a proud member of the Guest House Association of South Africa.
The Cabin consists of:
• A kitchen
• A lounge / dining room
• A bedroom with a double bed and en suite shower, basin and toilet
• A bedroom with two single beds and en suite shower, basin and toilet
• A stoep with a ramp for wheelchairs
• A bedroom with a double and two single beds and en suite wheelchair friendly shower, basin and toilet
The Station Master's Cabin is fully equipped, for our guests' convenience. You literally only need to bring your clothes and personal items, and supply your own food and drinks. The Spar and Spar Tops are diagonally across Hotel Road, and are guaranteed to cater for just about everything you may need. And should you not feel up to preparing your own food, Wimpy and several restaurants are within walking distance. On payment of your deposit, you will be mailed a complete list of all the items that the Cabin is equipped with for your peace of mind, and to enable you to plan properly.
Although The Cabin is primarily a self catering establishment, meals can be provided at an additional cost by prior arrangement. Please enquire when booking.
Every precaution has been taken to ensure your personal safety during your stay with us, and details will be furnished on confirmation of your booking. To add to your peace of mind, the Cabin is situated directly opposite the Cullinan Police Station.
