About Stanford Valley Country Lodge

Come and experience the ambience of a Western Cape farm in the mountains. Stanford Valley Country Lodge is nestled in the valley of the Klein Rivier, 10km outside of Stanford village. Enjoy our safe and peaceful haven, have an exhilarating swim in our large dam or go hiking.

Accommodation

We offer comfortable accommodation in 6 self-catering cottages (of which 3 are family cottages) and 10 large en-suite rooms.

Don't be surprised if you startle a duiker or ribbok on the way! On our 440ha farm we grow organic rose geranium and lavender for essential oils. Our Afrikaner herd helps to restore our soil and you will meet our chicken, ducks and geese roaming freely.

Breakfast & Dining

Enjoy contemporary country cooking prepared by the talented Manor House kitchen team at this popular Overberg restaurant. The food can be best described as wholesome and ample and the team strives to only cook what is close to their hearts. Your meal is served against a backdrop of mid-century modern décor, eclectic art and breathtaking views of the Akkedisberg mountains. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner from Thursday to Saturday – and on Sunday for breakfast and lunch.

Activities

The charming, historic village of Stanford is 7min down the road. Endless beaches near Hermanus and De Kelders are close by. Activities in the Area include: whale watching and shark cage diving, sunset cruises on the Klein River, horse riding, trout fishing, mountain biking, quad biking, and winery or brewery tours.
