We stayed for 1 night in Forest Camp and had what turned out to be the best experience of our whole holiday. The camp and its environment is fabulous, the accommodation better than a 5* hotel, the food 1st class and the drink plentiful. Our guide, Mike, met us at the Kenton on Sea landing & from the minute we set off was making sure we got the most out of our trip by pointing out the wildlife along the river bank. The camp has no electricity and solar/paraffin lamps all add to the unique atmosphere. the night sky is as you've never seen it before, uncontaminated by light pollution and the alarm call from the wildlife, just before sunrise, had to heard to be believed. The Nyala buck & his family walking past our tent let us know that we were not intruding. Sibuya means "we will return" and we will!! |

we stayed in the river camp, where there are 4 guest tents, which were surprisingly comfortable. The first thing that strikes you is the utter tranquility of the place - I defy anyone to feel stressed here! The rangers are very knowlegeable and entertaining. Sibuya doesn't have the zoo-like feel of some private game reserves. The animals are in fantastic condition. The food was a very pleasant surprise - absolutely fantastic. We only stayed one night, but left wishing we were staying longer. Exceptional value for money. |
