Seester Strandhuis is a secluded beachfront property situated in an indigenous garden on a quiet street a short walk from the main beach & shops. From the garden you can watch dolphins pass by. In winter the whales make their annual visit. Your hosts are Zdenek and Hilde Kucera. Zdenek is an accredited tourist guide & keen angler, who can point out the best angling spots. He also knows the weather, tides, phases of the moon & where to find the best bait. Hilde likes shell collecting, is a student of local flora & makes quilts from South African fabrics. We both enjoy playing bridge at the local club. Between us we speak English, Czech, Afrikaans, a smattering of Russian, German & Dutch. Surfers are welcome. Collect your own bait and go fishing at high tide. Get to know the oystercatchers, crabs and seagulls. Make friends with the noisy hadeda, tortoise, meerkat and steenbuck. After your swim you can rinse off in the shower with a view. Other activities include surfing, sand boarding, deep-sea fishing & bargain hunting at the local factory shops. Drive out to Addo Elephant Park, Baviaanskloof Mega-Reserve, Storms River Mouth, Tsitsikamma forest, Gamtoos river citrus farms, Langkloof apple farms. Personal visits to farms can be arranged. . Jeffreys BayJeffreys Bay is world famous for its surfing especially during June July and August. Lessons are available from experts. Jeffreys Bay is also ideal for cycling past placid lagoons. The Kabeljous, Seekoei and Krom river lagoons hosts numerous water birds, and are ideal for water sport like canoeing board sailing fishing etc. You can also do whale watching (seasonal from July to October) sand boarding, horse riding, hot air ballooning, golf, bowls, tennis, squash and so on.
