About Rondegat on Clanwilliam Dam
Relax in comfortable self catering cottages overlooking the scenic Clanwilliam Dam and majestic Cederberg. This peaceful and tranquil setting has miles and miles of open water for fishing, waterskiing and boating.
Guests have access to three double canoes at no extra charge. Launch your boat and head for the open water! The resort has water edge picnic and braai facilities – you don't have to move too far away from your boat.
Self Catering Accommodation
The comfy accommodation ranges from two and three bedroom cottages, (sleeping from two to eight guests) to Krakadouw House with a private pool. All cottages have access to a pool, have private braais and some have an inside fireplaces.
All are equipped with mini ovens, microwave ovens, toasters, kettles and all the needed crockery and cutlery. There are grids at the braai's and wood for sale.
Please Note
We provide bedding but no towels. Access to the establishment is via 14km of gravel road.
Pets
Pets are welcome with prior arrangement only. Only one pet is permitted on the premises at a time, so if another group is already booked in with a pet at the same time as your request, you will not be able to bring your pet along. This is handled on a first come first serve basis.
Activities and Attractions
Come and experience a pristine fynbos environment with spectacular views on the 15 km 4x4 route, also an enjoyable bike ride. This is a hiker's and bird watchers paradise. The less active can just relax on the patio or at the pool and enjoy evening braai's with sunsets over the shimmering waters.
We are a mere 14km drive from historic Clanwilliam; this is an ideal base for daytrips to the iconic Northern and Southern Cederberg, Lamberts Bay, Elands Bay, Verlorenvlei or when exploring the flowers from the Biedouw Valley to Nieuwoudtville and surrounds.

One room with double or Queen-size bed and one room with twins and there is a sleeper couch for two in the lounge. The kitchen is fully equipped and the patio has a braai area. We provide bedding but not towels. This unit has a inside fire place. All of the cottages have outside braai's and indoor fireplaces. The living areas open up onto shaded patios. This 6-sleeper cottage has use of a shared swimming pool.
