Accommodation

Three luxury tents, each tent are fronted by its own private deck, from which you can enjoy the view, the bird-watching, and tranquility of being in the bush. The word ‘tent’ belies the elegant comfort and spaciousness within, where cool cream and white contrasts with earth tones and slate, while elegant colonial style is counter-pointed style with hints of ethnic inspiration. Roomy double sleeping accommodation as well as one four sleeper is offset by a magnificent bathroom, fitted with a luxury shower, toilet and hand-wash basin. For your comfort a bar fridge is available as well as tea, coffee, milk, sugar, kettle and mineral water. Packing and hanging space is also a part of the comfort features. a Hair dryer and clean fresh towels compliments the service we offer.

Dining

Riate Lodge boasts with a true South African menu. Breakfast is served on the deck at the lapa area or on the deck in your tent where you can enjoy this feast in privacy. Dinner around the bushfire is the best experience. Both breakfast and dinner can be pre-arranged with the lodge manager according to the dietary requirements.

Services and Facilities

The main get together place is the lapa and braai area which is complimented with a bar and soothing cool swimming pool. Guests will be able to enjoy sun downers around a traditional campfire and true South African hospitality. A big screen TV is available with all the sporting channels. Restrooms, an outside shower and spit-braai are features of the lapa together with a serving counter, breakfast and dining tables and chair. Umbrellas to keep the sun away when reading a book in a comfortable chair next to pool will be set up on request by one of Riate’s friendly staff.
