Peace and quite and away from the hurley burley of the world. Ideal for birding groups. Stanford is a unique village with a Victorian Conservation Area of cottages with its village green at the centre - the only one in South Africa. A delightful pub - Hennies, serves great steaks and where all congregate on a Friday evening. There are two excellent restaurants and a Gold Award breakfast / lunch at Marianna’s. The beach can be reached either by 4x4 from Reiersvlei Farm 10km further along the gravel road or from De Kelders 17km further along the R43.
