Reflections Guest Farm has been established for almost a decade. Nestled in the lush farming area of the Winterhoek corner in Tulbagh, between The old Tulbagh Winery and Theunisskraal Cellar, both famous as landmarks and for their high quality wines. The farm offers Self Catering accommodation in a variety of cottages and houses.AccommodationCurrently there are 2 small single room, double bed guest cottages with full bathroom and kitchenette; 1 open plan larger cottage with dual bathroom facilities and separate kitchen (ideal for small functions). There are 3 larger 4-bedroom family units, all furnished and well appointed. These accommodations are located on the North side of the farm, around the Reflections dam. The two smaller cottages are suitable for couples only. The Stone cottage can accommodate a family of 4-6 sharing the large open plan room. The three guest houses can each accommodate up to ten persons. All cottages and houses are tastefully furnished. All have digital satellite TV reception, dvd players, stoves, microwaves, refrigerators, cutlery, crockery, small appliances and complimentary toiletries. All cottages and houses are equipped with barbecue facilities. The FarmThe farm has 3 large dams, with the accommodation being centred around a beautiful Clearwater dam. Wild black bass wait for the patient fly-fisherman, keeping a lookout for giant pied Kingfishers, while numerous species of waterfowl visit the dams at various times of day. In the heat of midsummer, schools of bass fingerlings lie near the surface, attracting diving kingfishers and Cormorants. Here immigrant European swallows not only skim the water but actually dive in too cool off. This is a spectacle not to be missed. Picnic next to the dams, fall asleep in a rowing boat, exercise in a kayak or enjoy a dip in the freshwater swimming pool. Reflections is the perfect place to simply chill out or to use a base from which to explore Tulbagh and the surrounding towns. On request we will arrange wine and cheese tasting tours along the Western Cape Wine Route. The guesthouse section of the farm is separated from the growing and farming area and is a secure peaceful environment. Guests are however welcome to explore the farm on foot to enjoy the total farm experience. There are three strong boreholes drawing water from deep underground aquifers. The water supply to the guesthouses is SABS certified drinking water. Vegetables, seasonal fruits and herbs are organically grown on the farm and may be purchased at below market prices. From any place on the farm there are 360° mountain views to Saronsberg, Winterhoek and the Witzenberg range. Planned facilities for 2009 include a health & wellness centre with Far-Infra-Red saunas, different type massage treatments including bamboo massage and hot rock massage. A curio shop and wine tasting bistro serving Tina’s famous pancakes. Wines from all Tulbagh winemakers will be available for tasting and purchase. ACCREDITATIONS
