Ideally situated 5 minutes from the CBD and all amenities, the tranquillity of the hotel makes you wonder how KwaZulu Natal’s capital city is little more than a stone’s throw away.

Accommodation

The Hotel
The hotel comprises sixteen Deluxe Rooms, two Library Suites and four Premier Suites. The rooms are situated on either the 1st or 2nd floor of the original hotel or on the ground and 1st floors of the new wing which was completed in 2007. All of the rooms are beautifully appointed.

The Premier and Library suites in particular boast beautiful views over the tree tops and have private lounges or studies. All guests have access to either wireless or ADSL internet connections, the use of which is complimentary. Air-conditioning, satellite television and direct dial phones all come as standard along with complimentary tea and coffee stations. Limited room service is available from 11h00 -22h00.

Redlands Lodges.
The lodges at Redlands consists of five, two bedroom and one single bedroom self catering units. All are well appointed and very popular for our long staying guests. A spacious living room and open plan dining room and kitchen area complete the apartments. These are also ideal for parents visiting children over a school weekend.

Dining

Dining at Redlands is an experience in its self. Whether dining in the “Blue Room” restaurant, enjoying a quick snack in the clubroom or banqueting in the Redlands Room, there is something to meet everyone’s tastes and needs. The Redlands Club Room and Blue Room are open to the public for breakfasts, lunches and dinners. Please book in advance to avoid disappointment.

Conferences

Redlands Hotel boasts two dedicated conference venues. Depending on seating arrangements, the Redlands room can accommodate 50 delegates 'school room' style and 80 delegates 'cinema' style. The Redlands Room is situated in close proximity to the main hotel and is equipped with a service bar, satellite kitchen and ablutions, allowing the venue to be self contained. The new addition of a covered veranda completes the venue as a 1st class conference destination.

The boardroom is ideal for smaller functions. The standard set up is U-Shape around which 15 delegates can comfortably be seated; this can be varied on request. A 50 inch flat screen TV allows state of the art audio visual facilities to enhance your function. An adjacent reception area completes the venue.

The Blue Room is also available for functions from 11h00-16h00. Forty delegates can be seated comfortably depending on layout. The conference facilities and hotel are backed up by a generator.

Weddings

The recent addition of the Redlands Room has allowed for the introduction of small, intimate weddings of up to a maximum of 70 guests. The venue is perfectly situated in close proximity to the hotel and the gardens offer many photographic opportunities without having to travel from the venue. Numerous churches are in the area and for less formal ceremonies, the service can be held in the gardens.

Health and Beauty

Redlands Health and Beauty is situated a mere 50m from our doors to help pamper you with a massage, beauty treatment or haircut.

Activities and Attractions

A floodlit tennis court and swimming pool are available for use by residents. The Victoria Country Club is located a short five minute drive from the hotel whilst Maritzburg Golf Club is not much further. Several other courses are to be found within an easy 30 minute drive of Redlands. The Midlands Meander, several game parks, trout and bass fishing are all in close proximity as are Scottsville Race Course and the Golden Horse Casino.
