Franschhoek must be one of the most picturesque places in South Africa. For me, Rea Lou Guest House was the cherry on top of the cake. This tastefully decorated guesthouse is a haven for any visitor to this stunning little town. The rooms are immaculate, beds are comfy and I had a wonderfully relaxing time lounging by the pool after an assortment of treats for breakfast. The staff are well-trained and exceptionally polite. If you are planning a visit to this region (and visit you must!) I suggest you give George a call and experience Rea Lou Guest House. |

A stay at ReaLou is a delightful thing. This time (not the first) our elegantly furnished room looked out over a sparkling pool, where we spent a quiet morning relaxing on loungers and soaking up the Cape sunshine. Perfectly situated within walking distance of Franschoek's charming restaurants and shops, ReaLou is uncompromisingly peaceful, with a beautiful garden and view of the mountains. Breakfasts on the spacious terrace were a highlight, and included the best French toast I've ever tasted. Without a doubt, an experience to be repeated. |

Rea Lou Guest House in Franschhoek is an ideal base for any venture into the Cape winelands. The rooms are extremely comfortable, the breakfasts are superb, and it's walking distance from any number of interesting stores and restaurants that line the main road of this charming town.
Rea Lou has a lovely garden with a swimming pool and an exquisite view of the mountain. The service is exemplary. I have spent several wonderful weekends there, and see no reason why I shouldn't return in the future. |

My wife and baby son visited Realou after making a last minute booking for the holiday weekend. The owners could not have been more helpful and welcoming and provided us with everything we needed. The location is excellent, the open, carefree feeling of being able to do your own thing was most welcome. The decor and quality of furnishings and services provided is above average; we would have no hesitation in returning for another visit: preferably in warmer weather!! |

We stayed two nights in the Ursula Family Room with our three kids. We fell in love completely in the house and the nice and comfortable garden with a great pool. A big thanks to the helpful and professoinal staff and the friendlyness of the owner.
We can strongly recommend this Guest House to everyone.
