Come and enjoy a relaxing breakaway at Raaswater Country Stay, a wonderful retreat a mere hour’s drive from Cape Town in the heart of the Breede River Valley, on nature’s doorstep where there is plenty of fresh air to enjoy in the surrounding vineyards and mountains. Raaswater Country Stay is set in idyllic country surroundings, a place to relax and unwind at in one of the three well-appointed cottages on a small secluded grape farm in the Breede River Valley. Each cottage has its own, separate entrance into the large, tree-filled garden teeming with birdlife, rolling lawns, rose gardens and lavender scented pathways. While away the sunny days around the sparkling blue swimming pool or just enjoy the space and tranquility of country life. FacilitiesWe love to have families staying with us and welcome children of all ages - there is a wonderful, big garden for them to roam around in and a trampoline to keep them entertained. In the summer there’s a great swimming pool to cool off and have fun in. We have friendly and helpful staff who will endeavour to make your stay with us an enjoyable and memorable experience. BreakfastA wholesome and delicious English breakfast is served in the beautiful dining room or on the patio of the main homestead overlooking the tranquil gardens. AccommodationThe cottages are individually and tastefully decorated with care to make your stay a special and comfortable one. All the rooms have beautiful classic, country furniture, and the beds have lovely cream cotton percale linen on them to ensure a wonderful night’s rest. Hibiscus Cottage - 2 bedrooms, sleeps 4 Hibiscus Cottage is a lovely thatched roofed, free-standing cottage with a double bed. There is also an adjoining room with a single bed. There is a pleasant bathroom with a bath and a hand-shower. You can watch DSTV and make a fire in winter in the quaint fireplace. The bedroom looks out onto the pool area and has a patio and entrance into the garden. Tea and coffee-making facilities are provided. The linen is cotton percale for comfy sleep time. This room is ideal for 2 adults and 2 children. Bed configuration - 1 double bed, 1 single bed, 1 mattress. Jacaranda Cottage - 1 bedroom, sleeps 5 Jacaranda Cottage is a large free-standing thatch-roofed cottage which is especially popular with families as it has four single beds, a lounge area and a dining area and is very spacious and comfortable. There is DSTV, a heater and a bathroom en-suite with only a shower (wheel-chair friendly). Tea and coffee making facilities are also provided. Cream cotton percale linen is on all the beds. Bed configuration - 4 single beds, 1 mattress. Wild Fig Cottage - 1 bedroom, sleeps 4 Wild Fig cottage is a special, cosy cottage with its own kitchen and lounge new bathroom with bath and shower and separate bedroom. It is very spacious and well-appointed and tastefully decorated with classic furniture. The linen is cotton percale to ensure a superb night's rest in beautiful and tranquil surroundings. The cottage has its own private garden and the patio looks out onto the vineyards, rose garden and lovely mountain views. There is dstv and fireplace for cosy winter evenings.
