What an amazing Big Five game reserve not far from Port Elizabeth in the eastern Cape! Upon our arrival we were greeted by a bull elephant grazing in the reserve accommodation garden, approximately ten metres from the reception area. With absolute 5 star accommodation overlooking a lake hosting playing hippos, where elephant, giraffe, buffalo, wildebeest, hyena, wild dogs, warthog, zebra and numerous other species come to drink. What a pleasure! You literally sit in your private bush waterfront chalet on the private deck, with own swimming pool, sipping drinks overlooking the beauty of this magnificent reserve with game continuously roaming freely in front of you!. We enjoyed two Big 5 game drives daily with a professional ranger / conservationalists who share their vast knowledge of the wild freely with the guests. With their comfortable game viewing vehicles we were able to get very close to some phenomenally beautiful wild animals. A pride of white lion roam the reserve and are an absolute delight for visitors to see.

All meals are served at the main lodge and are of the highest quality, complimented by a superb collection of excellent wines, which are on the house. All the friendly staff members are continuously wanting to spoil you rotten all the time! They absolutely carried us on their hands throughout our wonderful stay. To Ross Owen and all staff members, congratulations and well done and a sincere thank you from Rina and I.

This was our first visit to Pumba and we would like to highly recommend this private game reserve to all and sundry and we have decided that we will return in the near future to again appreciate the absolute excellent amenities and services that this reserve has to offer.
