About Prior Grange Guest Farm
When you are next travelling on the N1in the Southern Free State, why not stop over and discover old fashioned hospitality on the historical working farm, Prior Grange. We are conveniently situated between Gauteng, Limpopo, KwaZulu Natal and the Cape Coast.
Prior Grange has been in the family since 1854 and the present owners, Blackie and Sheryl de Swardt invite you to experience the heritage of the farm and enjoy their Karoo hospitality.
Guests staying at Prior Grange are accommodated in five delightful, individually styled cottages situated in the garden. The cottages are private, en-suite and have an outside sitting area. All cottages are fully equipped to suit all your accommodation needs. We have a lovely sandstone pool which you are welcome to use.
Meals are served in the privacy of the cottage and you can enjoy a pre-dinner drink in ‘The Loft’, our library / museum.

Weddings and Events
Prior Grange has its own cricket field, complete with evergreen outfield, grass pitch, sightscreen and scoreboard. Teas and meals are served at the cricket field, making it ideal for corporate cricket matches.
We have a function venue for up to 70 guests which has an adjoining lawned area for outside entertainment. This is ideal for small weddings and family gatherings.
