Cape Town V&A Waterfront is the departure point for trips to Robben Island. The island is famous for formerly being the prison of Nelson Mandela and other political dissidents. Allow about 3 ½ hrs for the trip. Weather conditions can suspend departures. Whale Watching Enjoy a scenic rout to the bay of Hermanus and come close up with the southern Right whales.
