Pompidou offers a unique option for people visiting Wellington: the finesse and comfort of a trendy, modern decor and the convenience of a central location, while being in a quiet and safe neighbourhood.
"Named after the Centre de Pompidou in Paris - a high-tech architectoral piece of art that houses the Musée National d'Art Moderne - Pompidou is modelled after what we've personally come to appreciate and expect of self catering accommodation," say Ilse De Vlieger and Jeroen Seynhaeve, Belgian-born owners / managers of Pompidou and eager travellers of Southern Africa in their own right.
Convenience, independence and a decor fitting for a modern life style are focus. In an effort to step away from half-hearted African kitch decors, we have intentionally selected sleek European furniture and accessories - some of them imported - and trendy colours. The walls feature replicas of paintings by international artists, including Gustaf Klimt, Léon Spilliaert, James Ensor and Constant Permeke.
What's included: A fully equipped kitchen (micro wave, blender, coffee plunger, oven / grill / 4 cooking plates, crockery and cutlery for up to 4 people, cooking pots, glasses, towels). In the bathroom is a bath and shower (seperate), shower cream and shampoo, fresh towels (at arrival). The lounge offers a home theatre with CD and iPod facilities, DVD (a nice collection of DVDs, including popular series like The Office and Damages), TV (SABC, eTV).
The bedroom has a queen size bed, fresh linen, air conditioning, plenty of storage space, small balcony. The 2nd bedroom / study can be convert into a 2nd bedroom when required (1 single bed). Also supplied is braai / barbeque Braai equipment and braai in the garden. Off-street parking (reserved parking spot at your front door), safety doors and automatic gate at entrance of property.
Pompidou is perfect for people travelling to Wellington or to the Cape Winelands for business - with shops, restaurants, take aways and all the major businesses - all within walking distance. You can work at your desk, relax in the garden or in front of the TV - Pompidou offers a stylish, relaxing space to either get away from your meetings, or prepare yourself for your next meeting.
Pompidou is also ideal for tourists to use as a base to explore Wellington and the Cape Winelands - Wellington is centrally located in the Winelands around Cape Town (45min), Tulbagh (30min), Riebeek Kasteel (15min), Paarl (7min), Stellenbosch (30min), Franschhoek (30min), Robertson (1.5hr) and Worcester (1hr)
