About Peas on Earth
Peas on Earth is an owner-run smallholding neighbouring the Wild Coast. Surrounded by outstanding natural beauty, it offer travellers the opportunity to abseil and horse whisper, regenerate the soil and rejuvenate their soul.
A small farm with a big heart, Peas on Earth grows fresh produce using astrological planting and permaculture techniques, no chemicals and good old-fashioned horsepower!
Peas on Earth’s cosy, rustic accommodation in the garden makes you think of a converted stable, while the main farmhouse has been renovated to retain its original charm while providing a quaint living space.
These rooms are converted out-buildings situated approximately 50m from the main farmhouse. Simple and rustic, these two rooms have solar-powered lighting, no electricity and fabulous views over the neighbouring game reserve. Each room sleeps 2 and has its own external entrance to the garden and we are currently building a 'green' shower and toilet facility next to these rooms though currently they share the amenities in the main farmhouse.
Double Farmhouse Room & Dorm Room:
These rooms are situated inside the main farmhouse and have electricity, cosy rugs and carpeting and storage space. The double room has a comfortable double bed and is next door to the bathroom, kitchen and living room. The spacious dorm room has four single beds and is a little further down the hallway.
The main farmhouse building is a restored building over 100 years old. The comfortable living room has a central fireplace for those chilly evenings and comfortable armchairs and futon. The open-plan design of the living area gives easy access to the communal kitchen and dining room while the outside scullery backs onto the barbeque and outside living area.
Home-made meals are on offer with ingredients fresh from the garden, enhanced with imagination and love - you’ll be sorely tempted to save your baked beans and enjoy something a little more tasty!
Peas on Earth is committed to responsible tourism and results in social upliftment and environmental sustainability and, in keeping with these goals, have installed a solar water heating system; solar-powered lighting in the garden rooms and low-energy light bulbs throughout the house.
