Palmhof Chalets welcomes you to the Orange River Valley in Kakamas, where vineyards, palm trees and citrus surround the area, the contrast route; with delicious wines, dried fruit, friendly people, local art and breathtaking sunsets. We want our guests to stay in Kakamas to experience the peace, beauty and absolute warmth, not just that of the sun but the hospitality of the ‘platteland’. Palmhof Chalets offers you, our guest, more than just an overnight visit.

We have achieved accommodating up to 50 guests in a comfortable and homely environment and go to extreme lengths to keep our guests happy. Our plans and dreams have however not yet stopped here. We recently expanded our complex with four B&B units as well as a Lapa area and upgraded the swimming pool area.

Groups can now comfortably be accommodated and entertained. Meals are done on request, from a buffet breakfast to a home cooked meal for dinner or a special menu that we prepare for you. Groups are welcome to put in their requests.

Accommodation

Palmhof Chalets is now equipped with 23 rooms and chalets. We have B&B rooms specifically for guests who do not need a whole self-catering package.

Self Catering Rooms:
Open plan rooms or chalets that are fully equipped with a kitchenette and en-suite bathroom (bath with overhead shower or shower only).

Rooms / Chalets are equipped with:
• Bedding and towels
• Television with selected DStv channels
• Air conditioning
• Fridge, microwave, stove, toaster and kettle
• Tea / coffee making facilities
• Private braai facilities
• Single / double beds (according to availability)

Bed & Breakfast Rooms:
Room with en-suite bathroom (showers only).

Rooms are equipped with
• Bedding and towels
• Television with selected DStv channels
• Air conditioning / heater
• Fridge and microwave
• Tea / coffee making facilities
• Single beds only

Breakfast and Dining

A buffet breakfast is served and dinner can be arranged.

Services and Facilities

Other services that we offer are laundry facilities, security on the premises, Lapa with under roof braai and a swimming pool for groups and family gatherings. We offer freshly cleaned linen and towels on arrival, and replace these on a weekly basis. We also provide daily general cleaning – except on Sundays and public holidays.

Conferences and Events

We have a conference facility available on the premises which can seat up to 20 delegates comfortably. If you require a facility for a larger group, we can happily arrange one and take care of all other requests and preparations. We have a flip chart and markers available on request for use during a conference. Contact us for more information regarding the conference facility so we can plan that perfect meeting according to your needs.
