The best about staying with us in the Strand, is because it is not far away from Cape Town, just in case you are planning to climb Table Mountain. Driving right into Cape Town will take you 35 minutes. The sunsets are breathtaking, and early morning strolls will show you a busy beach with people walking and running and enjoying the fresh air.AccommodationPaddlers is a self catering, 8 bed family unit, with a fully equipped kitchen, washing machine, microwave oven and crockery for 10 people. There is secure parking for 4 cars, an outside patio with braai facilities, and an outside shower with hot and cold water. The bedrooms are neat and pretty with white linen and we also supply towels. There are two bathrooms, one with a shower and one with a bath. Each one also has a toilet and hand basin. The lounge is big enough for eight people, with a TV with M-Net. Braai packs and wood are available to buy. Breakfasts and supper will be made on request. Services and FacilitiesWe arrange airport transfers and Baz Bus pickup from the Lord Charles, and can also organise township tours and wine tours to the world famous winelands. Helderberg is situated in the heart of the wine lands, so feel free to go with us on a tasting experience. There are also more conservative wine tours that will teach you the history of the wine lands. Shark cage diving We can organise shark cage diving trips to Gansbaai on request. The rate will include breakfast before launch, drinks, snacks and lunch on the boat. Sandboarding Sandboarding for the youngsters at Hangklip includes a penguin visit at Bettys Bay and a beer on the dune before ascent. Cape Point Tours Cape Point Tours can be arranged, with a stop in Kalk Bay and a Cuban breakfast at Cape-to-Cuba Restaurant. ActivitiesOther activities offered by an Adventure Centre nearby is quad biking, Cape Agulhas tours, sky diving, surf lessons, speedboat rides, body boarding, sea kayaking, mountain bike trails, fishing and whale watching. This Adventure Centre will insure that people will never be bored while staying in the Helderberg. Guests will be picked up and dropped at the door by highly qualified staff. Melkbaai BeachThe picturesque beach in the Strand, called Melkbaai Beach, is a surfer’s paradise, a safe swimming spot and offers a variety of services such as hiring out chairs and umbrellas, mobile food and ice cream stalls and a team of lifesavers. There are also lots of shops in Beach Road, so if you are tired of the sun, you can always stroll over for a cold beer or a new bikini. The beautiful coastal road from Strand to Hangklip, Bettys Bay and Hermanus offers lots of excitement to whale watchers.
