Thanks for a great stay at Over the Mt. - we had a most enjoyable anniversary in the comfort and peacefulness of your place.
Besides the beautifully restorated old buildings, the loaded self catering kitchen and of course the wonderful breakfast and supper, the view of the valley and mountains from the stoep was the cherry on the cake.
We took Dave up on his suggested gravel roads to Oudtshoorn and De Rust as well as the hiking trails in the Outeniqua Mountains and lastly the wine tasting at Herold Wines a mere 2km from the guest farm. All of these activities along with a refreshing dive in the pool made for a full and unforgetable Saturday.
I can recommend this ideally located guest farm to locals and travelers alike as a refreshing experience of our rich heritage but yet our modern day comfort and convenience and all of this at an affordable price.
Thanks Dave & Gail - we'll see you again since you are only 15km from us here in George along the scenic and historic Montagu Pass.
