Functions & EntertainmentFor guests’ convenience, a large thatched entertainment area, nicknamed “The Barn” has a viewing deck overlooking the trout dam that is fed by a waterfall. The Barn has a bar, fridges, braai and ice machine. This area is suitable for all types of functions. Together with the self-catering cottages at Ridgedale Trout Farm, Oak Tree Lodge is also ideal for company weekends away, with Management staying at the Lodge, while staff can stay in the cottages. In this way, groups of up to 34 may be accommodated on a sharing basis. Activities &AttractionsHorse Riding can be enjoyed at Khotso Horse trails, which is just next door to us. Enjoy riding through forests and over hilltops with stunning views of the mountains and farmlands. River Rafting & Tubing is most enjoyed in the summer months and is conveniently done on the stretch of the Umzimkulu River just in front of Ridgedale Trout Farm. Trips up Sani Pass go up everyday and are led by well-informed guides. For this your passport is essential, as you will enter into Lesotho to have lunch at the highest pub in Africa at the Sani Top Chalet. Guided Quad Tours can be arranged from Sani Pass Hotel and Paintball Games can be arranged on request (depending on number of players) on our premises. We have 3 lovely golf courses nearby.
