Nestled in the rocky arms of the Magaliesberg Mountains on a private farm lie the Nullarbor Cottages - a piece of paradise in the tranquility of the country. To enforce this tranquility we regret no children or animals are allowed. Situated on a 15ha farm, only 1 hour’s drive from Johannesburg, Pretoria, Hartbeespoort Dam and Rustenburg, and 4km from the quaint town of Magaliesburg with 2km of good sand road.

Self Catering Accommodation

Comprising nine luxurious and individually decorated cottages which make up the great city escape that is Nullarbor. Each a beautifully appointed private wooden / brick cottage with bathroom en-suite which are ideal for a romantic get away. Most with enticing corner Jacuzzi spa baths to bubble away your stress. Each cottage has magnificent views, individual braai areas and lapas with covered parking for vehicles situated conveniently next to each cottage.

For chilly winter evenings we provide electric blankets and heaters as well as Indoor fireplaces. Fans help to keep you cool during the hot summer days - not to mention the three swimming pools shared amongst the nine units. For your entertainment we provide DSTV (movie channels, SABC channels, Mnet and sports channels) and CD/Radio player. DVD players are available for rental.

Each unit has a fully equipped kitchen with microwave, stove, full size refrigerator/freezer, and all utensils. All linen and towels are provided, as is washing up liquid and cloths and tea, coffee, sugar, salt and pepper.

UNIT 1 - LOURIES REST
One bedroom with Queen-size bed, en-suite bathroom with normal bath. Open plan kitchen and lounge with open fireplace. Private patio and braai area. This cottage only sleeps two and is situated very close to the Pool and has a lovely shady and private garden.

UNIT 2 - LIZARD LODGE
This unit has the lounge, kitchen and bathroom of wooden construction whilst the bedroom is built of brick. There is a large glass sliding door leading from the bedroom onto the patio which provides a magnificent view of the mountains and overlooking the garden and pool area. The bedroom has a Queen-Size bed and fireplace. The lounge comprises a couch and open plan kitchen and lounge, separate bathroom with corner Jacuzzi spa bath.

UNIT 3 - BUDI BUDI
This is a very romantic and popular cottage. The lounge, kitchen and bathroom are of wooden construction whilst the bedroom is built of brick. The bedroom has a King size bed with corner Jacuzzi spa bath and shower in the bedroom. There is a large French sliding door from the bedroom overlooking the gardens. A sleeper couch and TV with full DSTV and CD/Radio player are also in the bedroom.

There is a large verandah with comfortable chairs with French doors leading into the lounge area which has a fireplace with comfortable couch, dining room table and open plan fully equipped kitchen. Separate toilet and handbasin.

UNIT 4 - HORNBILL LODGE
Hornbill is a very private cottage – tucked away from the other units. A single bedroom with double bed and French doors opening onto private patio and braai area. Separate lounge with fireplace, separate kitchen and bathroom with shower only.

UNIT 5 - GECKO LODGE
One bedroom with queen size bed and French doors opening onto verandah from both the Bedroom and the Lounge. Open plan kitchen, lounge with fireplace separate bathroom with corner Jacuzzi spa bath.

UNIT 6 - NEBULOUS SKYS
One bedroom with four poster double bed and French doors opening onto verandah from both the bedroom and the lounge. Open plan kitchen, lounge with fireplace separate bathroom with corner Jacuzzi spa bath.

UNIT 7 - PULA MOON
Large bedsitter with four poster queen size bed, open fireplace, French doors opening onto private verandah and braai area. Separate bathroom with corner Jacuzzi spa bath.

UNIT 8 - MALI
Luxury large double bedroom with four poster queen size bed, French doors leading onto verandah from both the Lounge and Bedroom. En suite bathroom with corner Jacuzzi spa bath. Open plan kitchen, lounge with open fireplace

UNIT 9 - VENUS
Large luxury unit of brick construction with one bedroom, King size bed. Ensuite bathroom with corner spa bath. French doors opening onto verandah from both the bedroom and the lounge. Open plan kitchen, lounge with open log fireplace. Private patio and braai area with thatch lapa.

Facilities

Although the name Nullarbor conjures up barren wastelands (borrowed from the Australian Nullarbor Plains - Latin translation, null meaning no/none and arbour meaning tree) Nullarbor farm which started out with no trees has been transformed into a green leafy miracle and no longer reflects the original meaning. Bird life is prolific in the area and this is a favourite pastime of our visitors.

We are conveniently situated for sightseeing in the Magaliesburg area as well as being close to the Cradle of Humankind. There are many restaurants and pubs close so eating out is an option. It is the ideal place for those wanting peace and quiet away from children and to escape for a romantic break away with your partner.
