Ngwenya River Lodges is a providing accommodation in Komatipoort in 15 guest rooms for tourists visiting the Wild Frontier region.
Ngwenya River Lodges at Hippo Bend are set on the very edge of the Crocodile River overlooking a magnificent floodplain on the southern boundary of the Kruger National Park in an area teeming with Big game.
The river is so close you can almost reach out and touch it. It can be likened to your personal waterhole because the game comes to the river and to you. River Lodge guests can expect to see a wide variety of animals (including the Big Five) coming to the river to feed, drink and hunt. Frequently two or three of the Big Five are present on the floodplain at the same time and, if lucky, all of the Big Five may be seen in a single day. Birdlife along the river is prolific and diverse with over 300 species on the list. Birders are guaranteed to enjoy excellent sightings and the riverside decks are ideal for bird photography.
Ngwenya River Lodges are 4 Star graded and represent the pinnacle of luxury, comfort and exclusivity at Ngwenya Lodge. Each fully air-conditioned double storey lodge has five en-suite bedrooms (two with king size double beds and three with two single beds each). The lodges have been appointed to a high standard and each has a fully equipped granite top kitchen with ample fridge space for ten people as well as a dishwasher and washing machine.
These riverside lodges have been designed for indoor / outdoor living and have private rim-flow swimming pools. All bedrooms and living areas open onto sandstone tiled verandas leading to timber viewing decks with stunning close up and panoramic views of the Crocodile River, floodplain and adjoining Kruger Park riverine bush.
To ensure complete relaxation the lodges are serviced daily except Sundays (an optional extra). Bedding and bath towels are supplied but guests must bring their own swimming towels. Undercover parking for three vehicles is provided at each lodge.
The exceptional riverfront setting of Ngwenya River Lodges is ideal for relaxed game viewing and bird watching. The area teems with big game and guests can expect to see a variety of animals (elephants, rhino, buffalo, hippos, lion, leopard, wild dogs etc ). On occasions all of the Big Five have been seen in the course of a single day. From time to time kills are also reported. The Crocodile River which flows past each lodge can be likened to a personal waterhole. One does not have to spend hours driving around looking for game if you don't want to. At Ngwenya River Lodges the game comes to the river and to you.
Ngwenya River Lodge guests will enjoy a world class holiday experience by making use of the all facilities and activities available at the resort. Most of these facilities are no more than a 2 minute drive or a short walk from the Ngwenya River Lodges.
