Newlands Cottage is an attractive, self-catering cottage with small private garden in the convenient Newlands / Rondebosch area. The cottage has a modern, fully-equipped kitchen with oven, convection oven, microwave, toaster, kettle, two-plate gas hob, dishwasher and full-size fridge / freezer. Towels are provided. The cottage has full independent DSTV and wireless internet connection. The cottage has a braai / barbecue facility with portable braai / barbecue and outside table and chairs. There is a small heated pool which is available for guests between 10h00 and 17h00. The courtyard garden has been designed with great care to ensure privacy and easy access to all facilities. The cottage has a full alarm system with easy remote control access. The attractive front garden has an authentic water feature, old rose trees, oak trees and a covered patio where guests may sit and enjoy the unique Newlands atmosphere.     Why do I have to pay a deposit?

    This is a sign of good faith. Properties hold rooms for you, which they could sell to someone else, so if you don't turn up, they lose revenue. By paying a deposit of 50% (industry standard) you show the property that you are intending to arrive and they will accordingly turn others away.

    Can I pay the deposit at month end?

    That depends on the property. Many have real time booking calendars, allowing people to book instantly online. If that's the case, bookings are first-come-first-book, and no rooms will be held provisionally unless specifically arranged. Send a request and ask for a specific payment date and they'll get back to you.

    What is 3D Secure?

    This is a security layer which checks that the person making the payment is the authorised cardholder by way of a one-time pin delivered by SMS or a secret code, ensuring the safety of your card.
