About Mosamane Guest Farm
On the beautiful farm Beatrix, on the foothills of the Maluti Mountains in the Eastern Free State you will find Mosamane Guest Lodge. Mosamane Guest Farm is an eco-friendly, self-catering lodge. This traditional farm offers activities such as bee keeping and goats milk and cheese making.
The Self Catering Lodge
The renovated barn on Mosamane farm was converted into a lovely five bedroom lodge and can accommodate up to 17 guests. Each room has an en-suite bathroom. The bedrooms, as well as the communal living area have fireplaces and a bunch of wood will be provided each day.
The backpackers room accommodates seven people on single beds. It leads onto a covered deck area and has an ablution block with six toilets and six showers. Warm water is provided from a wood fire heated system.
There two kitchen / braai and lounge areas, both these new kitchens are fully equipped with fridges, microwave ovens, toasters, cutlery, crockery and more. There is a 2 plate gas stove, but unfortunately no oven.
Additional activities on Mosamane Guest Farm include two hiking routes, mountain biking, horse riding and bird watching.
The 9km hiking trail takes you over the mountain, into a cave and down into the donga. The 16km mountain biking route takes you to a different part of the farm where you will pass farm animals as well as some small game.
