It was the vision of the owners of Monte Christo to create a country lodge close to Bloemfontein, with a country style look and feel, to relax and recharge the batteries after a long day. Monte Christo is situated next to Bloemfontein, off the Nelson Mandela off-ramp, which gives you the feeling of the country side, but is only 10 minutes from the central part of Bloemfontein. AccommodationOur service is 4 stars graded and we aim to please all our clients. All the rooms are very spacious and equipped with two single beds or a king size bed and a full en-suite bathroom. All the rooms also have DSTV, aircon, a cupboard, hairdryers, and a safe in each room. By law, all the rooms are non smoking. There is an honesty bar in all the rooms so that you can relax after a long day. FacilitiesSpectacular early morning sunrises and sunsets are part of our lodge. The thatched roof and broad passages will make you feel like you are at a farm house, and you can relax with all the noises of birds, horses and other animals in the area. Outside each room are garden tables and chairs to sit and enjoy the view or drink coffee and relax. As a bonus you can, by appointment, arrange to view cheetahs on the premises and learn more about them. There is secure parking and the gate is electronic for your safety. Breakfast and DiningAlthough we do serve breakfast, all the rooms are equipped for self catering; and all the rooms have a fridge, microwave oven, cutlery and washing basin. Lunch and dinner can also be served on request. ConferencingWe can seat up to 50 persons cinema style and 30 persons U-shape, and will provide a white board and flipchart. A data projector can be rented should you require one. A full catering service is available and we offer morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea ServicesIf you need a shuttle service to and from airport, we arrange it for you. If you need to relax a bit, there are braai facilities. We are also pet and child friendly. LocationFor special events, like rugby, athletics, cricket and soccer, we are about 10 minutes from all these stadiums. We are about 7 minutes from the Mimosa Mall and 10 minutes from the Waterfront. The Free State University is about 5 minutes from the lodge. From Bloemfontein Airport, we are about 20 km or a 15 minute drive. Most of the bigger schools like Grey College and Eunice are about 7 minutes from the lodge.
