It's not as glorified as it looks in the picture. The toilets gave endless problems since we arrived. Cleaners only clean the house once in three days according to the owner. U have to carry your own detergents for washing up dishes. Pay for using laundry. Owner does not see the need to have beddings changed if u moving out the next day. No privacy if u living in the main house, other guests have to pass u. No privacy for the swimming pool, owners kids are always swimming. Owner walks in and out of property anytime. Absolute no privacy. If u bath be careful for flooding the bathroom. Toilets don't have taps, take water from bathroom to loo. The list is endless. Will never go back. Could not wait to leave. The lady in charge was very accommodating, she lives on the premises however the man to whom the payment is made to is very rude and abrupt. I would think he is the owner Mr Anwar......???. He makes his presence felt. It's like creepy.
Pictures on this website are not a true reflection of what we were given. Arrived on the 23/03/15 to hear that the "Joburg" people already moved in and Mrs Mohan had no idea who we were. We were asked to wait in an accommodation for 5 minutes and moved to another. What we were taken too disgusted us considering we just arrived from London and were given a property we did not pay for. The property was filthy, dusty and unfit to live in for anyone. The entrance was through the kitchen - it was covered with dirt, chipped crokery, dirty stove, microwave, fridge, kitchen drawers with limited cutlery and cookware. Not a good impression for an entrace to a property. Walking through we found a double bedroom with a double wardrobe, the dresser was covered with dust and cup stains all over it. Two well worn towels was on the bed. We found a walk in shower that had a brown stained shower mat and again covered with dust everywhere. We asked that the cleaning lady clean the shower area as it was very unhygenic. She also profusely apologised for the condition of the property.
The second bedroom consisted of two single beds, a small television on the hall with wires haning down, a small coffee table with a 2 seater coach meant to be used as a lounge area. So no seperate lounge area. Overall we were not happy and we made Mr Mohan aware of our dissatisfation. After a long conversation with him he told my husband that as I am so unhappy he was prepared to refund our money. We handed over our bank details and departed the property. A few days later my husband enquired about our refund and Mr Mohan informed him that sa-venues told him not refund us. We looked on the website for a contact number, but found an address and we went to it to inform them of our situation. We had to stay with friends and felt homeless on holiday in Cape Town. We met with Tania from sa-venues and through her intervention Mr Mohan refunded our money. We missed 5 days of our holiday looking for alternative accommodation.
To fellow holiday makers I strongly advice that you do not make use of this property. Mr Mohan also inticed our friends while were there and this made the whole situation even more unbearble, not a good start to a holiday.
Thank you to Tania from sa-venues for her support during this strained and difficult time.
