Trip of a lifetime!! The food was divine, and the game drive was wonderful. Such a relaxing, peaceful place. The chalets are also very beautiful, as is all of the grounds. I will be coming back here someday!! |

Although our stay was short it is a time we will never forget. Game drives were amazing as they took us right to the action, we saw more in 2days than we had seen in 2yrs at other game parks. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Meals during our stay as well as snacks and high tea were lovely. We enjoyed staying in the tented lodge and I would recommend Mkuze Falls to anyone.
You have an amazing place. |

My wife, son and I stayed at Mkuze for five super days in April a few years ago. We stayed in the tented lodges as opposed to the main lodge buildings a few miles away because they staff felt it would be nicer for our 10 year old son. Our tent was of course super with built in bathroom and shower. It was also air conditioned which was most welcome. The staff were all fabulous and nothing was too much trouble. Indeed they thought ahead and did whatever they could to make our stay and that of all the other guests as lovely as possible. Our day started early at 5 am with a wake up call. At 6.00 we took off into the wilderness to see, just after dawn, what game was waking up (at the same time that we were waking up on the back of the Jeep). At about 7 am we would stop for snacks and drinks which was a lovely break on the drive. On return from the morning drive we had time to freshen up before a sumptuous breakfast followed by some sun bathing around the pool. Lunch was then served and, as were all our meals, it was a delight all cooked on the premises and again served so well. After a short rest it was onto the next meal of afternoon tea giving us the opportunity to gird our loins for the afternoon drive. Feeling perhaps a little full with food by now we are off for the afternoon drive to see more wonderful sights. Of course we must stop for cocktails in the middle of our drive and are again treated to anything we could possibly wish for, all from the back of the magic Jeep. Driving into the darkness we return to camp at about 8 pm and freshen up in the bath which is already run for us, complete with flowers floating in the water. 8.30 is dinner and you can imagine that we are hungry by now having not eaten anything for about an hour(!!). Bed was usually early having been awake since 5 am and off to dreams of the wild animals that have previously only been seen on TV but now have been experienced for real. Mkuze is a wonderful place and well worth a visit if you possibly can. |

MY SISTER AND I HAD THE MOST MAGICAL TIME. I CAN'T SAY ENOUGH ABOUT IT. THE STAFF WERE EXCELLENT AS WAS THE ACCOMODATION AND FOOD. THE GAME DRIVES WERE ABSOLUTELY THRILLING AND MADE PERFECT BY OUR RANGER DAAN, AND HIS HELPMATE MUZI, WHO NEVER MISSED A THING.
I WOULD LOVE TO RETURN. |
