Our stay at Misty Hills was a wonderful welcome for our visit to South Africa! The room was much more than expected and the outdoor shower was a great bonus! The staff was extremely attentive, kind, and very helpful. The "full English" breakfast was teriffic. The grounds are beautiful and spotlessly clean. What an awesome way to start our vacation...wish we had been able to stay more than 2 nites. |

We stayed only one night, and although the setting is beautiful and all rooms private, we had no hot water the next morning and the connection plug provided for the hair dryer did not fit! We had to chase room service around and eventually borrowed a plug from Reception. One does not expect these small irritations from 4 star facilites? |

The Hotel and Staff was great, but the Spa STANK!
Unfortunately for me, the appalling experience I had at the Spa came at the end of my stay and has left a nasty impression of Misty Hills in my mind.
The ladies at the Spa looked at me as if a piece of dirt had drifted in, didn't bother welcoming me and just left me sitting around for fifteen minutes without bothering to inform me that they were unable to do my treatments. I had to go in and ask them why I was being ignored, then the receptionist deigned to tell me that the therapist who was supposed to do my 'waxing' was not there. Waxing!!! Can't anyone do this? I had booked a few other treatments after that, but had also opted to do my waxing there, so that it could all be done together.
I think the sore point is that they didn't bother acknowledging me - not even a phone call to explain the problem. The whole impression I got was that they were too good, even for my petty little R600 or whatever I was prepared to spend there.
Shame on you, ladies! |

Brilliant, went with my sister in law for few day rest and pampering. Spa and treatments were excellent, very relaxing. Room was very comfortable, breakfast was well balanced with lots of choice. The Carnivore restaurant was an experience I will never forget, for good reasons. Hoping to visit again soon, would recommend to anyone. |

1. The service is out of this world (Still want to come back for More)
2. The Food and wine are to die for especially with the wine specialist around explaining
