We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay at "Huis oppie Rant" in the +100 year old homestead. Selma and Bennie Nel are very accommodating and willing to help with any request. As Bennie is 5th generation here in the valley, he has many enthralling tales to tell about how life was here many years ago. The views and the silence makes one feel rested and at peace with the World. It is great to be subjected to paraffin lamps and candles for light and to heat water in a Donkey Boiler. We WILL be back to camp.... when it is warmer. |
