Established in 1989, Lodge on Main Guest House is situated in the picturesque suburb of Walmer in Port Elizabeth. The guest house is centrally located on Main Road, which has become the heart of the suburb, providing accessibility to the city’s business hub, major lifestyle & shopping centres, airport, beachfront and other touristic centres. With its manicured lush gardens and centralized location, Lodge on Main is a country retreat right in the middle of the city, providing an ideal base for both leisure and corporate travellers who wish to enjoy the convenience of accessibility to all city amenities, yet enjoy the peace and tranquility of our park-like gardens and gracious hospitality. AccommodationCurrently, Lodge on Main offers guests a choice of eight beautifully and individually appointed en-suite rooms comprising a combination of 3 suites, 5 business rooms and a two-bedroomed self-catering cottage, in this relaxed and tranquil retreat. There are four standard double en-suite rooms, with two of these rooms having their own private balconies and a family unit with a private lounge and balcony overlooking the beautiful gardens. The four executive rooms include a self-catering cottage offering two en-suite rooms that may also be utilized independently of each other on a B&B basis, and a family room with private lounge. Room facilities include DSTv with a choice of 6 channels (including Supersport & MNet), tea and coffee making facilities, fans and heating panels. There are secure guest parking facilities on the premises. There is also an enclosed guest patio with a bar and braai area overlooking the lush gardens and swimming pool. The business centre is situated in the reception area and services include faxing, copying, printing and scanning. Breakfast & DiningOur delicious and hearty full English breakfast is complimented with a self-service fruit and cereal bar, Mediterranean style platters, as well as tea, coffee and a selection of fruit juices. For guests who wish to dine in at night, a pre-order menu is available at reception. Conferences and TrainingLodge on Main is able to offer a choice of two venues designed to offer an ultimate solution for small conferences and meetings. Our professionally appointed venues offer all the necessary modern meeting equipment and can be utilized individually i.e. a 15 seater Board Room and a 25 seater meeting room or can be opened to form one large venue able to accommodate up to 45 delegates. Other than our venues, we offer friendly, efficient and professional service to ensure that your meeting experience meets your expectations. In conjunction with our sister companies, Lodge on Main is also able to accommodate meeting delegates and can assist with “spousal programmes”. With their spacious layout, choice of décor and art, the venues may also be utilized for cocktails and private functions.
