Lion's Guesthouse offers nine rooms: eight double rooms with en-suite bathroom and one room with a bathroom a few steps down the hallway. All rooms have DSTV, a kettle and a microwave. The rooms are fitted with a different selection of beds: two single beds, two ¾ beds, one double bed or one king-size beds. Baby / toddler beds or an extra adult bed for the room are available on request. Secure parking space is provided.
The courtyard has a swimming pool and braai facilities for your use and the lounge area has a fully licensed sports bar (open daily 17h00 to 22h00, Saturday from 13h00 onwards). A pub menu is served (kitchen open till 21h00) and there is a TV and pool / snooker table. Internet is available at reception.
We have a huge garden, ideal to hide away with a book or catch the last bit of sun in the afternoon. All guests get their own remote control of the main gate to be able to enter and leave as they wish. All rooms, also in the main building, have outside doors.
Continental breakfast between 6h30 and 8h30. Lunch can be chosen from the bar menu or if we know it beforehand we will prepare a lunch pack for you which you can take with you after your breakfast. Dinner, as mom used to make it, is served everyday between 18h30 and 20h30. Guests who would like to have dinner must please inform us before 14h00. On Friday afternoons we offer pub lunches.
Undercover / Lapa weddings up to 50 people and outside weddings up to 80 people can be hosted. Lions Guesthouse offers several possibilities for weddings; from a traditional wedding to a spitbraai around a fire or a picnic wedding. You name it, we organize it. We have a photographer and a decorator if you wish an all-in package. Wedding menus are available on request. The Lion’s Guesthouse garden with its towering palm trees offers the bride and groom a picture perfect day.
Brides and honeymoon package:
Lion’s Guesthouse is also the choice of many brides for their photographs with their family and bridesmaids before her big event. The bridal / honeymoon suite offers any bride the opportunity to take a well deserved bubble bath. She has all the space she needs to get a massage, put on her dress and do her make-up while her bridesmaids, no matter how many, can still be in the room with her. When the bride leaves for her ceremony, the dedicated Lion’s Guesthouse staff transforms the bridal room to a honeymoon suite with candles, champagne, midnight honeymoon snacks, body creams and massage oils.
Two venues are available: inside and outside: Maximum capacity - 35 adults or 50 children.
You have a choice to meet outside in the half open lapa and eat inside or the other way around. Both venues offer a tranquil place to have constructive conferences / meetings. Flip chart and beamer / screen are available. Conferences / meetings up to 20 people can sit in a square facing each other.
Groups of more than 20 people will be requested to sit in Cinema style. You have a choice of finger food breakfast or continental breakfast, cold or hot lunch and tea breaks as you wish. All delegates will receive pen and paper and an informative overview of break times etc.

Lion’s Guesthouse is your place to be with different venues available inside, under the lapa and outside in the garden. As Lion’s Guest house has the most beautiful Classic African garden, it can also be used for any function during the day or in the evening.
If you are a group of people who would like to wine and dine in our outside lapa, with a fire burning outside or have a breakfast or lunch meeting. All of this is possible on a 48hr notification. Groups of 10 to 25 people are welcome. We offer a starter/main course and desert package, this excludes drinks (iced water will be available on the table).
Groblersdal is surrounded by Bush lodges and game reserves. Lion's guesthouse offers a lot of activities of these lodges and game reserves in an area of +/- 30 km around Groblersdal: From quad trails, horse trails, game drives and walks, cheetah feeding to crocodile viewing and lots more. Enjoy the security of town at night, but spend your day in the bush or play a round of golf (3 bush golf courses 30km from each other) or spoil yourself at the spa.
