Welcome to La Cabriere Country House, with its provencale-style architecture set in beautifully landscaped gardens with breathtaking panoramic views of the Franschhoek valley and the mountains beyond.
This elegant and chic 4-star country house is a haven of peace and tranquility, nestled amongst farms and vineyards, yet within walking distance of the village with all its fabulous shops and restaurants.
We have six rooms at La Cabriere. The three most luxurious ‘deluxe’ rooms are in our detached poolside cottage. Each of these rooms has its own open fireplace for those chillier evenings, an individual terrace overlooking the swimming pool, and spectacular views across the vineyards to the mountains beyond.
The two charming Superior rooms are adjacent to the main house, and are a short stroll away from the poolside cottage, the breakfast terrace and the pool. One of these rooms has a king or twin- bed option. Both have their own entrances, terrace, and mountain views.
The Standard room is also adjacent to the main house, it is the largest room, but is offered at a lower price due to the fact that there is no view from the bedroom itself. The bed can be made up as king or twin. This room is ideal for families travelling with young children, as it is large enough to fit the cot or extra bed when required.
Breakfasts include a selection of cereals, fresh fruit salads, yoghurts and croissants, as well as a full English breakfast (served between 8 & 10am). Afternoon tea and cake is served every day. This can be enjoyed on the veranda outside your room as the hot summer day comes to an end, or curled up in your bedroom in front of the fire on one of those chillier winter evenings.
The team at La Cabriere Country House is made up of friendly and approachable staff who are always very happy to advise you on restaurants, wine tours, spa treatments and the many sporting activities available in and around Franschhoek.
Recent exciting changes have been made to the exterior of the country house. The field in front of the guest house has been landscaped with a ‘forest’ of mature trees, and we have created a 40 metre dam which is sure to attract some beautiful birdlife for La Cabriere visitors to enjoy.
