Kudu Ridge Game Ranch is a small well stocked game ranch developed as an eco-tourism venue. Nestled in the picturesque Addo Hills, it is renowned for the abundance of kudu and various other game.

Due to its tranquil setting and atmosphere the game are tame and offer unique world class photo opportunities. Kudu Ridge overlooks the Sundays River Basin down to the dunes of the river mouth in the east at Colchester and Addo Elephant National Park in the north and north east.

Accommodation

Kudu Ridge Game Ranch consists of eight, four sleeper luxury Safari style tents and six, double sleeper chalets, a central dining room, full kitchen facilities for self catering or meals can be arranged with the management (which most guests prefer and are served in a family like environment). There is a Boma with fire pit open to the night skies and bar facility.

Game drives can be arranged which we liken more to an adventure drive. We will also arrange guided tours of the Addo Elephant Park. Walks or cycling around the farm can be done at your leisure or with one of us as a guide.

Kudu Ridge is home to a variety of animals including kudu, impala, bushbuck, grey duiker, Cape grysbok, porcupine, bush pig, warthog, rock dassie, caracal and meercats. Birdlife is abundant and the call of the African fish eagle is common.

Conferences

Kudu Ridge Game Ranch has a fully equipped conference centre with overhead projector, surround sound and TV which can be connected to DSTV if required. The facility is air-conditioned and can seat 25 in "U" shape or 40 cinema style. We are ideally suited to small conferencing and team building (which we can arrange if required) away from any outside distractions.

Activities and Attractions

There are a number of restaurants and pubs in the valley which can be explored and day trips to Port Elizabeth and surrounding attractions and ending back in the peace of Kudu Ridge.

We have recently been approached by the Wits University Archealogical Department for permission for one of their PhD candidates to do part of his thesis on Kudu Ridge.

Location

Kudu Ridge is situated 5km outside the village of Addo in the direction of Port Elizabeth on the R335 and the Addo Elephant National Park main entrance is 16 km away with an exit which comes out in the village of Addo. Grahamstown is 80 km away on a route that takes you through the Addo Elephant Park on a district road. Kenton on Sea is approximately the same distance. The distance to Port Elizabeth is 45 km on a good tar road.

Kudu Ridge Game Ranch is owned and run hands on by the Bowren family who take pride in their hospitality.
