About Klipfontein Bush Camp
Klipfontein Bush Camp is situated just 30kms from Lydenburg on 160 hectares of farmland in the Kwena Basin. Overlooking the Kwena Dam and boasting spectacular views of the Steenkamps Mountains, one can only appreciate the true beauty of Klipfontein Bush Camp when seen through one’s own eyes. Whether your interests include bird watching, hiking or just lying back and relaxing, you are surrounded by the beauty of nature and the magnificent views.
Self Catering Accommodation
Klipfontein Bush Camp offers accommodation for groups of 16 people. The camp contains five tastefully decorated chalets (sleeping a total of 16), each with a small verandah, command spectacular views of the mountains and valley.
The chalet configuration consists of four rooms with three single beds and one room with two single beds and a double bed. Ablutions consist of two separate bathrooms each with a shower, toilet and two washbasins. Linen, hand towels and toilet paper are provided.
The camp is serviced by a fully equipped and gas powered kitchen. A cozy covered lapa with built-in braai and bar area provides a wonderful social atmosphere while the outdoor boma with central braai is a must for late night star-gazing. A third braai area is situated under the trees. The kitchen, boma, lapa and bathrooms are serviced every morning.
A generator powers electric lights at night. Please note there are no electric power points at the retreat. In summer, please arrange with us before arrival to fill the ‘drinking hole’ with water. The hole cannot be filled during your stay!
Klipfontein Bush Camp is a two and a half hour drive from Pretoria and three hour drive from Johannesburg. Dullstroom, Pilgrim’s Rest, Bourke’s Luck Potholes, God’s Window and the Blyde River Canyon, Nelspruit, Sabie and Graskop are only a short drive away.
The last 3.5km to Klipfontein Bush Camp is only suitable for high clearance vehicles. Please arrange to leave your vehicle in the secure parking if required.
