Kanonkop House is a luxurious Guest House situated in Knysna, a beautiful town built around a large saltwater lagoon on the Garden Route. Kanonkop House is about 5 minutes from Knysna Town Centre and the Waterfront. The Conyers family run this exquisite five star guest house which has five bedrooms, each individually appointed by award-winning South African Designers - the Paradise room is rated the "best room in Knysna" in the latest Frommer's South Africa Travel Guide.

ACCOMMODATION:

Each suite is tastefully furnished, focusing on natural light and texture.

Paradise Suite:
The Paradise Suite is a luxurious double room with ensuite bathroom. Unsurpassed views of the Knysna Heads and Lagoon are seen from both the balcony and the bathroom. Underfloor heating, large wooden paddle fan, and oversized bath and shower are additional features of this special suite.

Sivuyile and No Matata Suites:
The Sivuyile and No Matata Suites are large and luxurious and open out onto a wooden sundeck. These queen-size double rooms overlook the pool, garden and Knysna Lagoon in the distance. They have the same décor and en-suite bathroom as the Paradise Suite. The bedrooms have a seating/reading area with 2-seater couch, armchair and coffee table with magazines and books. These rooms have their own tea/ coffee stations. These rooms also have their own Satellite TV’s.

Sunbird Suite:
The stunning new Sunbird Room is a king sized bedded room which also can be converted to two single beds. This luxurious room leads out to a very large balcony with uninterrupted views of the lagoon. It also features a comfortable reading area and a bathroom with a full bath and separate shower, satellite TV, electronic safe and the same extras as Sivuyile and No Matata.

Forest Room:
The new (2008) Forest Room leads out onto a big private wooden deck where guests enjoy a view of the indigenous forest with sparkling sights of the lagoon captured between the trees. This is a very special room with an Italian bathroom, beautiful antique furniture and a quartz pebble floor with underfloor heating. It also features a lovely lounge area with satellite TV. It has a king size bed which can be converted to two single beds if preferred.

GOLFING:

Kanonkop House is the ideal destination for golf travellers, golf tours, golfing holidays and even new golfers interested in playing the many breathtakingly spectacular golf courses nearby. Golf at the exclusive Simola Country club and Pezula Clifftop estate is offered to guests at special rates.

ACTIVITIES:

Enjoy water sports, fresh water & deep sea fishing, bird viewing and seasonal whale watching. Walking and cycling trails through indigenous forest and extreme sports such as bungy jumping and abseiling are at your doorstep.
