Kalk Bay Backpackers ‘Lymehaven’ is an intimate hostel nestled in the midst of the Kalk Bay bohemian village. We are a 'home from home' self-catering boutique backpackers that sleeps 10 people only, making it cosy and the ideal place to make friends and explore. Private Twin (Sleeps 2):
Upstairs private twin room with a view that overlooks the village, a shared bathroom, kitchen, lounge and beautiful balcony.
Delux Double Room (Sleeps 2):
Our romantic couple luxury double en-suite has a separate entrance, private en-suite bathroom, own private sea view balcony and use of communal lounge and kitchen upstairs.
Six Bed Dormitory Room (Beds Booked Individually):
Upstairs we have a dormitory that sleeps six people in bunk beds. This room opens up directly onto our beautiful balcony – a lovely way to wake up in the mornings.
Browse the many interesting and arty shops that line the main road and take your pick of a variety of trendy restaurants. You have no less than five beaches and five tidal pools to choose from, all within easy walking distance. Keep your eyes open for whales, seals and dolphins. Set out on the scenic Kalk Bay mountain trails and explore the dark caves along the way.
The train station is only a minute walk away. The train runs between Simons Town (another must visit historic navy village only three stops away) and Cape Town city central - making it easy and convenient to visit all the other exciting spots in Cape Town, such as Table Mountain, the Slave Museum, Waterfront, Company Gardens, Planetarium, Robben Island and many more.
