Accommodation

Kagga Kamma offers unique accommodation that will contribute to guests' overall experience.

Outcrop Open Air Room:
This is one of Kagga Kamma's most unique features; a night under the starlit skies with all the comforts of a suite with a double bed and a glowing fire. Situated on a remote rocky outcrop far away from the Lodge, this idyllic space is home to the first luxury sleep out facility of its kind.

Caves Suites:
The signature accommodation offers unique ‘cave' suites, beautifully integrated with the sandstone rock formations. Each cave suite has a private terrace and is stylishly furnished. The beautiful rock formations can be experienced up close in these suites that blend into their environment seamlessly.

Luxurious Thatched Rondavel:
The spacious thatched ‘hut' suites, resembles the traditional dwellings inhabited by the clans of the area many years ago.

The Restaurant

Guests can enjoy sumptuous South African cuisine and an excellent selection of wines from the nearby Cape Winelands. The outdoor boma under the night skies is a highlight of any visit to Kagga Kamma.

What to do

Marvel at the Southern night skies on a Star Gazing Tour, facilitated by an expert guide. The clear, dark skies of the Cederberg make this the perfect star-gazing spot and guests can enjoy spectacular views of the Moon, stars, satellites and planets, along with deep sky objects like the Whirlpool Galaxy.

Kagga Kamma's Rock Art tours provide guests with a cultural experience like no other guests are submerged in the enthralling cultural history of the area, during a guided exploration of the living sites of the ancient tribes that once lived here.

Learn more about the plant and wildlife species that inhabit this arid area, with plenty of larger game; such as springbok, zebra and eland as well as smaller, lesser-known but captivating indigenous critters, to be discovered.

Kagga Kamma is a paradise for the more adventurous with fantastic mountain bike trails take guests on a scenic adventure through the unique terrain, 4 x 4 enthusiasts will enjoy the spectacular views and vast stretches of Karoo mountains and valleys. For the fun-loving Kagga Kamma recommends a Quad Bike Safari, taking place on otherwise inaccessible routes. Guests can relax at the resort's swimming pool while marvelling at the rock formations it's built around.

We had an amazing experience! Beautiful hikes and scenic views. The staff was extremely welcoming and went out of their way to make us feel special. The restaurant had a big variety of vegan / vegetarian options which was great to choose from. Would definitely recommend it for anybody. Wish we could’ve stayed longer.
