Welcome to Kaapse Draai B&B on SA-Venues.com, offering accommodation in Constantia, Constantia Valley.
Years ago Kaapse Draai used to be a protea nursery and, even though you won't find proteas, the garden retained an air of vibrant richness. Age-old oaks, palms and tropical vegetation line the little mountain stream that winds its way down from the southern slopes of Table Mountain. The garden rambles on into a 'green belt' of undisturbed meadow running through the whole of Constantia.
Accommodation
The four double, en-suite rooms are all individually decorated but share the same air of calmness and ease. Natural fabrics in rich creams brightened with unexpected touches of colour make the rooms a delight to spend time in. Curl up on a window seat in the late afternoon sun with a good book and a cup of tea, or enjoy sundowners on the private balconies overlooking the garden and ever-present mountain. You may never want to leave.
The rooms are situated on the second storey of this gracious home, and are reached via a central staircase. One room has a separate entrance from the garden. All rooms are equipped with tea trays and bar fridges, television and have en-suite bathrooms. Three rooms offer twin beds and one a double bed. All bathrooms have showers, and one is also furnished with a bath.Downstairs you'll find an airy lounge at your disposal, while breakfast is served either in the dining room or on the patio.

Constantia
Constantia is one of the oldest suburbs in Cape Town and is situated on what used to be the farm of Simon van der Stel, early governor of the Cape Colony. Nestled against the southern slopes of Table Mountain this leafy and well-preserved suburb is quiet and tranquil, yet by no means isolated from the rest of the Peninsula. Indeed, Constantia is so conveniently situated that most destinations are a mere 20 to 30 minutes' drive away.
With Kaapse Draai as your home base, the Constantia Wine Route comprising renowned wine estates Groot Constantia, Klein Constantia and Buitenverwachting is five minutes away by car. Hout Bay and the famous Chapman's Peak Drive to Noordhoek, said to be one of the most spectacular drives in the world, are 20 minutes away while Cape Town itself with its bustling Waterfront development and historic Bo-Kaap Malay suburb will take you 25 minutes by car. If you're heading further south a scenic drive along Boyes Drive will take you through the quaint little 'villages' of Kalk Bay, Fish Hoek, Simon's Town and Boulders (stop and see the penguins!) to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve and Cape Point. But if you don't feel like driving, a gentle five-minute walk up Rathfelder Common will reward you with breathtaking views of False Bay …
