Situated on the outskirts of McGregor, the property borders a water dam and has gated access to the Krans Nature Reserve. Jubilee House is spacious, with a tasteful mix of antique and contemporary furnishings with a definite feel of Africa about it. The house sleeps up to 6 people.

McGregor has been described as "one of the Jewels of South Africa" and is famous for its traditional whitewashed thatched cottages where the feeling of time stands still. The local marching band can often be heard in the distance on weekends entertaining locals and visitors with carnival music.

The popular wine route R62 is well known and goes through the town of Robertson, a short 20 minutes drive away, with all the major shops and facilities that may be required. Quaint restaurants and pubs are scattered around the village, as are pottery and craft shops. Fresh vegetables are available from the local farm stall.

Activities

Activities include visits to the various wine farms, mountain biking, hiking, fishing, golf, horse-back riding, bird spotting in the Krans Nature Reserve and Vrolijkheid Nature Conservation Station. Day trips to Montagu, the Hot Springs, Swellendam as well as Hermanus to go Whale Watching.
