Island View is a fully furnished self-catering apartment situated on Cape Town's "Platinum Mile" between the V&A Waterfront and Sea Point. AccommodationThe spacious sunny north-facing apartment sleeps 4: • main bedroom (double bed) • second bedroom (single bed) • study with single bed There are two bathrooms, one with bath en-suite to the main bedroom. The second bathroom has a shower. Towels and bed linen are provided (but please bring your own beach towels). The study offers a work station with dial-up internet access (bring your own laptop), while the lounge/dining room has an LCD TV with DStv (satellite), and a DVD player. The kitchen is fitted with stove, microwave, refrigerator, washing machine, tumble dryer, kettle and toaster, and crockery/cutlery for 4 people. FacilitiesThe apartment is in a secure building with 24 hour security access, and offers an underground parking bay. The sea views are glorious and include Robben Island, hence the name "Island View". You can watch the passing show of yachts, tankers, kayaks, cruisers entering and leaving the harbour - and the helicopters carrying mail and supplies to out-of-sight ships rounding Cape Point. Look out the other way and across the soccer fields of the Green Point Common you’ll see, in the distance, the new stadium being built for the 2010 World Cup. LocationDownstairs is a well-loved steak and seafood restaurant. And also a gym to work up the appetite - or work off the over-indulgences! The apartment offers excellent eateries just a gentle stroll away: steak and seafood, Greek, Italian, Japanese/sushi, fine dining, trendy deli/coffee shop, and even the renowned Hotel School. Attractions and ActivitiesThere is lots to do in the immediate vicinity: Walk for miles along the Atlantic seafront, play Putt-Putt or golf, kayaking, get lost in the maze, a gym in the building, hire a DVD, take the kids on the little Blue Train, take a swim in the Olympic size sea water pool in Sea Point, visit the V&A Waterfront and the Two Oceans Aquarium, hop on to the Cape Town tour bus, etc, etc. Mouille Point has easy access to all of Cape Town’s glorious facilities: the winelands, beaches, mountains, the CBD, and trendy spots like Green Point and the V&A Waterfront. There is easy access to and from the airport, and easy connections to the main highways out of Cape Town (N1 and N2). And then come home to sundowners on the balcony! ACCREDITATIONS
