St Lucia Accommodation / Ingwenya Lodge Self Catering Accommodation in St Lucia

The Lodge's name “Ingwenya” derives from the Zulu word for crocodile. It was quite logical to choose a name for our lodge indigenous to Zululand, in this first world heritage site of South Africa.

Ingwenya Lodge is situated on the "outskirts" of the residential area of St Lucia. The property borders the nature reserve with a view of both the sea and the estuary, a very unique privilege in St Lucia.

The surroundings are very peaceful and hippos graze often at the entrance of the Lodge during the night. Small game frequently wanders on the premises and a rumour of a leopard in the area has been going around.
