Indlu, our guest house in beautiful Hout Bay, offers our guests warm hospitality and a unique ambience. Indlu is furnished in a contemporary style with original artwork and personal touches.
Our rooms are comfortable with sliding doors opening onto private patios and the garden. Two of the bedrooms have twin beds and the other two have double beds. Our bedrooms are individualised with striking African wall hangings and paintings. All rooms have en suite bathrooms with showers while three rooms have baths as well.
Self Catering Units
We also offer self-catering. Two of the rooms have small but fully equipped kitchens but guests may have breakfast as well. All rooms have overhead fans, bar fridges, hospitality trays, heaters and a small safe. We also have DSTV in all the bedrooms. We can accommodate a small child in the one bedroom for a short period by adding a cot or extra mattress.
The bedrooms all have inner doors leading onto an atrium with a riot of plants and a small fountain with a cool, soothing effect. Laze in the sun and enjoy the large salt water swimming pool and lush garden.
Indlu offers secure parking on the property to all our guests.
Our breakfasts are generous, so spoil yourself with a warm English breakfast or a cold continental buffet selection. In summer, many guests enjoy eating outdoors, next to the swimming pool. Colourful African print tablecloths and a great selection of music make breakfast a fun experience at Indlu.
Hout Bay is ideally located for a holiday maker to the Cape. The Constantia wine farms are only 15 minutes away, while Kirstenbosch is 20 minutes from us by car. Chapman’s Peak scenic drive will get you to Cape Point in 45 minutes. Popular Camps Bay is only 15 minutes away along the coast and the V&A Waterfront and city are within 30 minutes drive from Hout Bay.

Visit the World of Birds; take a breathtaking trip to Noordhoek along Chapman’s Peak drive. There is a craft market on Sundays and a new food and craft market at the harbour on weekends. Take a boat trip to Seal Island or just a leisurely walk on the beach. Horse riding can also be arranged. Another lovely beach to visit is Llandudno, a mere 5 minutes away from us.
