About Indalu Game Reserve

There is a place in the Garden Route that follows a different pace. Surrounded by pristine mountain wilderness and attuned to the gentle rhythm of Africa's gentle giants, Indalu Game Reserve, breathes fresh air from nature and sea, 20 - 30km of Mossel Bay's South Coast, while allowing a glimpse of Africa.

Indalu is open to the wild and uninterrupted flow of the game through 800 hectares of landscape. While guest feel at home at Indalu the wildlife is eternally present. Indalu has a simple philosophy of living in harmony with a deep respect for all that is tamed, untamed and untouched.

Self Catering Accommodation

Indalu offers personalised service and luxurious accommodation to a limited number of discerning guests with two self catering en-suite chalets that can sleep four people each.

A big, outside braai facility and well equipped kitchen serves both chalets. A well manicured bushveld garden leads down to the river which is suitable for swimming.

Activities

Within the heart of Indalu you will find our tamed elephants. Highly trained guides with a vast knowledge of the African bushveld, take guests on close and intimate encounters.

Our main activity is elephant walks and interaction and game drives. Enjoy the elephants in their natural environment and learn about their behaviour with our experienced handlers, touching and feeding them a delicious snack bucket.

Game viewing in open vehicles or on walking safari's currently gives access to two of the Big Five and eight different antelope species. The malaria free area enjoys a temperate climate of 23 - 30C from October to April and 5 - 18C from May to September.

Indalu is an easy 3.5 hour drive from Cape Town or 70km from George Airport.
